Latitia had two ideas in mind for her dream proposal. Being proposed to A) at a Teddy Swims concert whilst he plays her favourite song (You're Still The One, Shania Twain) or, B) on the beach. Hester did everything she could to combine all of these things, and pulled off the most special evening on Holywell Bay, Newquay!
I was trusted lucky enough to photograph this beautiful proposal alongside guitarist Adam Reyonolds and vocalist Selena Brose, who were singing her song as Hester walked Latitia into a bed of roses and candles (set up by myself). Hester got down on one knee with the most spectacular view of the Cornish coast behind them. You could just feeeeel the love between these two - not even a broken wrist and broken car could have stopped their wonderful engagement, and it was a joy to capture it for them!
As a lesbian photographer, it's my dream to capture queer joy! Building trust in this space is difficult, and not something I take lightly. I want to create a space for everyone to feel seen and welcomed. It's truly so special to me every time I'm trusted to photograph people within the LGBTQ+ community, and I really hope to continue to capture more of this beautiful love.
